Flyn is a URL shortener for Google Chrome™. Click the Flyn icon on a web page and it becomes a short link that is already copied to your clipboard. HOW IT WORKS 1. Sign in with Google or with your Flyn email and password, or create a free account right in the popup. There is no API key to copy or paste. 2. On a web page, click the Flyn icon. The short link is created and copied. 3. Paste it anywhere, or show its QR code, share it, or open it. Open the popup again on a page you already shortened in this browser and you get the same link back instead of a new one, as long as it still points there. Click New to make another link; it opens with the page filled in. The Free plan includes 25 new links a month, shared across your whole account. Pro removes the monthly limit and adds up to 3 custom domains, which you add in the Flyn web app. Clicks on your links are counted in your Flyn dashboard on every plan; Pro adds country, city, device, browser and referrer breakdowns. PRIVACY - The extension sends Flyn the address of the tab you are on when you open it on a web page, plus any address you paste, right-click or select to shorten. Apart from a link or text you right-click to shorten, it does not read the content of pages, and it contains no analytics. - Before a link is created, Flyn checks the address with Google Web Risk and loads it once from its own server to block malware and phishing. - QR images are drawn by api.qrserver.com, which receives the short link. - When you create an account, your name and email are also added to Flyn's product email list (MailerCloud). You can unsubscribe from any email. - Your access key, settings and recent links stay in Chrome's storage. Signing out removes them and revokes the access key the extension created.
