FlowSpace
Overview
Organise tabs into named workspaces. Switch instantly, colour-code your tab bar, and keep login sessions isolated per workspace.
────────────────────────────────────── WHAT IT DOES ────────────────────────────────────── Tired of drowning in tabs? Browser Workspaces lets you group your tabs into named workspaces — one for work, one for personal browsing, one per project — and switch between them in a single click. Each workspace remembers exactly which tabs you had open and where you left off. Come back to it later and everything is right where you left it. ────────────────────────────────────── KEY FEATURES ────────────────────────────────────── Instant switching Switch to any workspace in one click. Your current tabs are saved automatically in the background — nothing is ever lost. Two switching modes • Own window mode (default): each workspace lives in its own browser window. Switching simply brings that window into focus — all your other workspaces stay open in the background, just like Edge Workspaces. • Replace mode: all workspaces share a single window. Tabs are swapped out on switch for a distraction-free single-window experience. Tab bar colour coding Each workspace is assigned a colour. When you switch, the tab strip automatically takes on that colour using Chrome's native tab group feature — so you always know at a glance which workspace you're in. Auto-grouping New tabs you open are automatically placed into the workspace's tab group. Your tab bar stays tidy without any manual effort. Container mode (per-workspace session isolation) Enable container mode on any workspace to keep its login sessions completely separate. When you switch away, that workspace's cookies are saved and cleared. When you switch back, they're restored. This means you can be logged into the same website as two different accounts across two workspaces — for example, a personal Gmail in one workspace and a work Gmail in another. Note: container mode isolates cookies only. It does not isolate localStorage, IndexedDB, or cached resources. For complete session isolation, separate browser profiles are recommended. Colour customisation Assign any colour to a workspace from the built-in colour picker. The tab bar, the workspace icon, and the tab group all update instantly. Rename, reorder, and delete Full control over your workspaces directly from the popup — no need to dig into settings. Import and export Back up all your workspaces to a JSON file and restore them on any machine. ────────────────────────────────────── PRIVACY ────────────────────────────────────── Browser Workspaces stores all data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. No data is ever sent to any server, and no analytics or tracking of any kind is included. Container mode saves a snapshot of cookies for the tabs in a workspace so they can be restored when you return. These snapshots remain entirely on your device. ────────────────────────────────────── PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED ────────────────────────────────────── • Tabs — to read, save, and restore the URLs in each workspace • Storage — to persist your workspaces locally on your device • Cookies — to save and restore login sessions in container mode • Windows — to open and focus a dedicated window per workspace • Tab Groups — to colour the tab strip with your workspace colour • Browsing Data — reserved for future selective workspace clearing
