OpenAthens and Jisc are not involved in the development, operation, or maintenance of this extension. OpenAthens Resource Viewer helps library users access online resources directly from Chrome. Check your OpenAthens sign-in status, browse resources available through your signed-in session, and open the current webpage using a library-configured access link. Key features • Check your OpenAthens sign-in status and open Sign In or Sign Out. • Browse and search available databases, including a favourites filter, when supported by your institution. • Display the database list in Chrome’s side panel or a new tab. • Use “Athenize this URL” to open the current page in a new tab via your library’s Redirector, Custom SAML, or proxy-force configuration. • Set domain-specific access rules and preview converted links before opening them. Getting started • Sign in through your institution and open the extension. • To configure access links, use Settings. Please contact your library for instructions on how to configure these settings. Important information • This extension does not grant subscriptions or bypass access restrictions. • When using “Athenize this URL,” the current page URL is included in the link sent to the configured authentication service; avoid URLs containing sensitive information. • The content and destination URLs of the links displayed in the database list depend on how your institution has configured OpenAthens.
