Overview
Click on any horse ad to see where its asking price sits among similar horses listed right now.
Verdict reads the horse ad in front of you and shows where its asking price sits among similar horses listed right now. Open a horse ad on any site and click the Verdict button. The read opens beside the ad: - The asking price, marked Below market, At market, Above market or Overlaps market. - Verdict's range for horses like this one, with how many listings it comes from. - Three of the listings behind that range, with their asking prices, each a link to its page on Verdict. - What Verdict read from the ad: the discipline, the level, the age, the height, the breed and sex, where the horse is and the asking price. When the ad doesn't say the level, pick the one the seller tells you and the range follows. - When the ad gives no asking price, type the one the seller tells you to see where it sits. It stays in the panel and is never sent. - What the ad doesn't say, such as the horse's height or a show record at the level. - The questions to ask the seller about what the ad leaves out. When fewer than 5 similar horses are listed, Verdict gives no range and says so. The side panel lists your reads this week, with Verdict's range for each one and where its asking price sat. When you read an ad again, the read says when you first did. On the horse sale sites where Verdict runs on its own, a listing it already follows shows one line under its price: Verdict's range for horses like this one, with how many listings it comes from, and how long the listing has been on Verdict. Click Full read in that line for the rest. Verdict covers hunters, jumpers and dressage horses. Its range is built from listings, not sales, and a read is not an appraisal. On the horse sale sites where Verdict runs on its own, it checks the page address against a list kept on your computer and shows a line under the price when the horse is already on Verdict. Nothing about the page leaves your computer until you click Full read. Those sites are listed under the extension's permissions in Chrome. Everywhere else, including Facebook, nothing is read until you click. On Facebook, a read sends the post's words, and the group's discipline when its name states one. It also sends how many videos the post holds, never the videos themselves. When the panel opens, it asks Verdict whether you are signed in. That check carries nothing about the page. When you click, Verdict reads only the tab in front of you: the words on the page, and a picture of what is on your screen when you use the Verdict button. Before the page's words leave your browser, it removes email addresses, phone numbers, links and social media handles. Verdict uses what you send for that one read and keeps none of it, and reads never go into Verdict's listings. On your computer, the extension keeps your reads for six months. None of it leaves your computer, and removing the extension deletes it. The extension carries no advertising or tracking code. What Verdict keeps: https://www.getverdictapp.com/data Reads need a Verdict account, the same one you use on getverdictapp.com.
