Overview
Turn airport codes and routes into a fast operational weather and time briefing.
Detailed description FlightStratix Ops Brief turns airport codes and multi-leg routes into a compact operational briefing that remains visible beside the webpage you are working on. Enter an ICAO or IATA code—or highlight a route on any webpage—to see airport-local time, current METAR, TAF and clear weather attention flags without moving between multiple tabs. Key features: - Search airports by ICAO, IATA, airport name or city - Build multi-leg route briefings - Compare live airport-local times - View current METAR and TAF reports - Surface high-level visibility, wind, flight-category and temperature attention flags - Copy a clean text briefing for operational coordination - Open FlightStratix fuel, FTL, flight-time and airport tools - Remember recent routes and cache weather briefly for reliability Privacy first: the extension does not automatically scan webpages or inboxes. It reads route text only when you explicitly select text and invoke the context-menu command. It does not collect passenger details, browsing history or account credentials. FlightStratix Ops Brief provides situational awareness only. It is not an official weather briefing, dispatch release or substitute for approved operational sources and procedures. Developed by FlightStratix Ltd. ## Privacy tab **Single purpose:** Convert user-entered or explicitly selected airport routes into airport-time and aviation-weather briefings. **Permission justifications:** - `contextMenus`: Adds the user-invoked “Brief route with FlightStratix” command to selected text. - `sidePanel`: Displays the briefing beside the user’s current webpage. - `storage`: Stores recent routes, settings and short-lived weather responses locally for convenience and reliability. - `https://aviationweather.gov/*`: Requests METAR and TAF information for the airport identifiers chosen by the user. **Data-handling declaration:** - Website content: selected text is processed only after the user invokes the context-menu action. It is kept in browser session storage only long enough to open the briefing. - User activity: no browsing history or background browsing activity is collected. - Location: the extension processes airport locations selected by the user; it does not request or collect the user’s device location. - Personally identifiable information: not collected. - Authentication, financial, health and personal communications data: not collected. - Data sale, advertising and creditworthiness use: none. ## Distribution - Visibility: Public - Regions: All regions - Pricing: Free - In-app purchases: None Reviewer test instructions 1.
