Overview
Speeds up working with logs in Kibana Discover: action buttons built from log fields.
kibanatool adds a row of action buttons to the log you open in Kibana Discover, built from that log's raw fields. It works on Kibana 7.17, 8.x and 9.x. - Jump to your admin panel, Sentry, Jira or any other tool with a value from the log. - Put the actions you use most on the result rows: point at a row and click, without opening the log. - Open related logs in a new tab: the same user's logs, or everything ±5 minutes around this log. - Read fields that hold JSON text as a searchable tree. - Read and search long or multi-line text, such as console output and stack traces, with its line breaks kept. - Copy the log as Markdown with passwords, tokens and other sensitive fields masked, copy a link to the log, or copy the current view with its time range fixed. - IBANs, ID numbers and mobile numbers (Turkish formats) and card numbers are masked in the copy too, even inside XML or plain-text request bodies. - Read XML and form request and response bodies as a JSON tree too, and copy the whole log as JSON with the XML, form and JSON text inside it expanded and masked like the Markdown copy. - Copy the HTTP request a log records as a cURL command, with tokens and cookies masked, to send it again. - You choose which Kibana addresses it runs on. It talks only to your Kibana, with your own session, and keeps its settings in your browser. Open source: https://github.com/cllakyz/kibanatool
