Peeka Edit
Overview
Read local Markdown, CSV, TXT, YAML, and JSON files. Offline and read-only.
Peeka Edit gives documents on your computer a comfortable reading view in Chrome. Follow a document’s heading outline, read highlighted code, and view diagrams and formulas in context. Search and sort tables, or inspect structured data in formatted and expandable views. Open a file from Chrome’s address bar, or choose a folder to browse its documents together. Copy the original text, an individual code block, a filename, or its path. Choose a reading palette, light or dark appearance, and a comfortable text size. Documents are processed on your device and original files stay unchanged. There are no file uploads or analytics. Interface preferences can synchronize through Chrome Sync; document contents and paths do not. After installation, enable “Allow access to file URLs” in the extension’s Details page at chrome://extensions. The setup guide explains this step, and built-in examples are available before granting access. Folder access is requested when you choose a folder. The interface is available in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Individual files can be up to 10 MB. This version is read-only and does not save edits to your files.
