Watch YouTube live streams like on Twitch: the video fills the window and the live chat sits beside it. And stay close to live without fiddling with the speed. THEATER MODE WITH THE CHAT • Turns on by itself on a live stream in theater mode (press T) while the chat is open. Close the chat or leave theater mode and the page is YouTube's own again. • The masthead is hidden, the player takes the full height of the window, the chat stands on the right. • Drag the chat's left edge to change its width. Double-click the edge for the default 340 px. • All chat messages: the chat opens with "Live chat" instead of "Top chat" every time it loads. MINIMAL DELAY TO LIVE • While the stream has more buffer than it needs, it plays a little faster (up to 1.5× by default) until the delay is as small as the stream allows without stalling. • Rewinds, pauses and the speed you pick in YouTube's menu are left alone. The extension never seeks. • The delay shows next to YouTube's "Live" badge. Click it to turn catching up off or on for that stream. PRIVACY Everything runs in your browser.
