Overview

Autofills forms using Regex patterns and Fixed ID rules.

SHORT DESCRIPTION: A simple, open-source tool for rule-based form filling. Use patterns and custom rules to fill forms quickly and reliably. LONG DESCRIPTION: Flash Fill is a straightforward utility designed to help you automate repetitive data entry on web forms. It’s built for users who need a bit more control than what standard browser autofill provides, without the complexity of heavy automation suites. The extension works by letting you create simple rules to match your data to specific fields. It uses two main methods: 1. Keyword Matching: Identifies fields based on their IDs or labels. 2. Regex Patterns: Uses Regular Expressions to find labels or placeholders that follow a specific pattern. As an open-source project, Flash Fill focuses on being a lightweight and transparent tool. It doesn't try to guess everything; instead, it relies on the rules you set to ensure your data goes exactly where it’s supposed to. Whether you are testing software, filling out repetitive internal forms, or managing unique identifiers, Flash Fill provides a clean way to get the job done. CORE FEATURES: * Simple Rule Creation: Create rules based on field IDs, names, or labels. * Regex Support: Use standard Regular Expression patterns for more flexible field matching. * Keyboard Shortcuts: Trigger your rules instantly with simple shortcuts (Ctrl+Shift+F or Ctrl+Shift+Y). * Local Management: Export and import your rules as JSON for backups or sharing. * Clean Interface: A minimal, dark-mode dashboard to manage your rule library. * Framework Friendly: Designed to work with modern web apps (React, Vue, etc.) by simulating native input events. HOW IT WORKS: 1. Add a Rule: Open the extension and save a rule (e.g., matching the label "Document" to your specific ID). 2. Configure Matching: Choose if you want to match by exact keywords or a Regex pattern. 3. Fill the Form: Press the shortcut on any page, and the extension will populate the matching fields using your saved data. PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS: Flash Fill is built with privacy in mind. Because it is open source, you can verify exactly how it handles your data. * storage: Used exclusively to store your rules and patterns locally in your browser. * activeTab: Necessary for the extension to "see" form fields on the active page and fill them for you when triggered. * scripting: Used to ensure the injected text is correctly registered by the website's code. * downloads: Allows you to download a backup of your own rules. DATA POLICY & SECURITY DISCLAIMER: All data is stored locally on your machine. We do not track your browsing, collect analytics, or send any of your information to external servers. Flash Fill is a local productivity tool that respects your privacy. Warning: Because data is stored in standard local storage without encryption, we strongly advise against using Flash Fill to store sensitive information such as passwords, API keys, or financial credentials.
