Chat Signal
Overview
AI-powered live chat intelligence for YouTube and Twitch. Clusters messages, tracks sentiment and trending topics. 100% local.
See what live chat is really saying — without losing it in the scroll. Chat Signal analyzes YouTube and Twitch live chat in real-time and shows you: Questions people are asking: surfaced instantly so nothing gets buried Chat mood: is the room excited, positive, confused, or frustrated? Trending topics: the words and emotes that keep coming up Session history: review what chat talked about after the stream ends For creators and moderators: Spot audience questions in real time, catch sentiment shifts early, and get an AI-generated summary of what happened during the stream. Free. No account needed. All processing happens locally in your browser — no chat data ever leaves your computer, and the extension makes no external network connections. Smarter clustering uses a small model bundled right into the extension (no download). Optional AI summaries run on Chrome's built-in AI (Gemini Nano) — fully on-device. Works with YouTube and Twitch live streams. AI summaries require a recent version of Chrome with built-in AI support; on older browsers Chat Signal automatically falls back to a simpler rule-based analysis, so core clustering and sentiment keep working everywhere. What's New in v2.1.1 - Bug fixes: correct display of chat messages containing special characters (&, <, >, quotes); capture all messages during fast chat bursts. Security: updated the bundled HTML sanitizer (DOMPurify 3.4.15). Now requires Chrome 114+.
