Aime Agent
Overview
Shows a blue frame with pause, mute and stop on the window you share with Aime, and acts on tabs when you ask.
Aime Agent is the optional companion extension for Aime (aime.chat), your voice-first AI assistant. When you share your screen with Aime, the extension draws a soft blue frame around the window she's looking at and puts the sharing controls — pause, mute, stop — on that window itself, so you always know exactly what she can see. It also lets Aime read or act on a browser tab when you explicitly ask her to — "read this page", "click the submit button" — always with an on-screen indicator, and anything that changes a page asks for your OK first. Optional "notice my day" and "Today" modes are off by default. If you turn them on, they keep a 24-hour on-device text buffer (never screenshots, never keystrokes) and nothing leaves the device unless you choose to send a summary. Pairing is automatic: install it while you're signed into Aime and it connects itself — no codes, no setup. Not an Aime user yet? The extension does nothing on its own; sign up free at aime.chat. Permission justifications (Chrome review form) tabs: Needed to locate the exact window/tab the user chose to share (Chrome reports only a title), so the blue frame lands on the right surface, and to act on tabs the user explicitly names. scripting: Needed to draw the blue frame and controls onto the shared page and to perform user-requested page actions (read, click, fill) with on-screen confirmation. activeTab: Limits page access to the tab the user is actively working with for requested actions. storage: Stores the pairing token and on-device "Today" buffer locally; nothing is synced off-device by default. downloads: Lets Aime list/open the user's downloads when explicitly asked. alarms: Wakes the service worker for the polling heartbeat that keeps the pairing alive. Host permissions (): The user can share or ask about any page; the frame and requested actions must work wherever the user points Aime. Page content is only read on explicit request; destructive actions always confirm first. Privacy practices (data usage disclosures) Authentication information — the pairing token identifies the user's Aime account to the extension. Not sold, not used for ads, not used for credit. Website content — only when the user explicitly asks Aime to read/act on a page, or when the off-by-default opt-in "Today" mode is enabled (24h on-device buffer, text only, deleted automatically). No data is collected for analytics, advertising, or third parties. Privacy policy: https://www.aime.chat/privacy Single purpose statement The extension's single purpose is to connect the Aime assistant to the browser window the user shares with it, with clear on-screen indication and user-confirmed actions.
