OG Dock
Overview
Preview and debug Open Graph metadata for public sites and localhost without sending inspection data to the developer.
OG Dock is a Chrome side-panel tool for inspecting and debugging the metadata behind a shared link. It starts with Server HTML · No cookies, preserves duplicate tags and source order, and stops before redirects. The Preview view turns that evidence into clearly labelled simulations for common social, messaging, and search-result layouts. These simulations are diagnostic aids, not guarantees of what an external crawler, cache, crop, or final renderer will display. Use OG Dock to: - Follow the current tab or inspect a pinned URL without navigating away. - Inspect public pages, localhost, private IPs, and custom development hosts. - Review page metadata, canonical URLs, favicons, robots directives, response details, and structured data. - Compare server evidence with an optional Browser-rendered DOM snapshot. - Inspect selected image candidates and review context-specific Blocker, Warning, Info, and Unknown findings. Public image bytes remain click-to-load even when site access is already available. Raw Data preserves ordered tags and duplicate values instead of flattening them. Browser-rendered DOM is secondary evidence. It normally runs only when you choose Compare rendered DOM. When Chrome already has site access, OG Dock may also collect a clearly labelled rendered fallback after the cookie-free request stops at a redirect or after a complete response contains no core social-card fields. This can use your current signed-in Chrome session, run page JavaScript and third-party requests, and never replaces the original server record. Site access is optional and requested from a user action. All-sites access enables Follow mode across tab changes but does not automatically load public images. OG Dock stores only settings and manual local/private hostname classifications. Inspected URLs, HTML, metadata, rendered snapshots, images, and history are not intentionally persisted. There is no OG Dock backend, developer analytics, telemetry, advertising, or sale of inspection data.
