FishThisPic turns any photo of water on the web into a place to fish. Open a picture of a lake, a river or the sea, click "Fish here", and the image becomes a fishing spot: you cast, wait for a bite, then fight the fish by holding the mouse and cranking the reel like a real one. Bring it close, slide the net under it while it thrashes, and it goes into your keepnet. WHAT MAKES IT A GAME, NOT A GIMMICK • The water is read from the image. Every photo has its own shoreline, and where you cast matters — a fish hooked near the edge has snags to run into. • Bigger fish hold closer to the bank. That is also where you have the least room to fight them. Nothing tells you this; you learn it. • The fight is a real simulation: line tension, drag, runs. Push too hard and the line snaps. Give too much and the fish reaches cover. • 30+ species, each drawn from its own parameters, with sizes and weights that follow the species. • Rods, reels and baits with different characters, drawn the same way. A stiff spinning rod and a soft bamboo one do not fight the same fish equally well. EVERY IMAGE IS A LAKE, SHARED The first person to fish a photo names it. After that, everyone who fishes the same image plays the same water, with a shared record board. See the biggest catch of the day, the busiest water right now, and go there in one click. PLAYS OFFLINE, ACCOUNT OPTIONAL The whole game runs locally. Sign in with Google only if you want your profile across devices and a place on the leaderboards. Without an account nothing leaves your browser. HOW TO START Right-click any image with water and choose "Fish here", or just open a photo of a lake — a "Fish here" button appears on its own when the extension recognizes water.
