Overview

Find lost Bluetooth headphones, earbuds, key finders & tags from your PC. Scan BLE devices, ring an iTag, detect hidden trackers.

FindMyGear is a Bluetooth device finder and BLE scanner that works right in Chrome. Find lost Bluetooth headphones, earbuds, speakers, smartwatches, key finders and tags from your Mac, Windows PC or Chromebook, make an iTag beep, and check whether an unknown device near you is a hidden tracker. No account, no setup, no data collection. Everything runs locally in your browser. ★ FIND A BLUETOOTH DEVICE Click the FindMyGear icon and choose “Find a device”. Chrome shows every nearby Bluetooth device with signal strength bars, so you can tell right away whether your lost device is in range. Pick it to see: • device type and manufacturer • battery level (when the device reports it) • model, firmware and hardware revision • the Bluetooth services it exposes ★ RING A KEY FINDER OR TAG Lost your keys? FindMyGear can make Bluetooth tags beep from your computer. It works with key finders and anti-loss tags that support the standard Bluetooth “Find Me” profile, and with trackers that follow the industry anti-stalking standard while they are away from their owner. ★ HIDDEN TRACKER DETECTOR Worried that someone put a tracker in your bag or car? Use “Check for hidden trackers” to inspect unknown devices. FindMyGear recognises the signatures of common trackers and beacons, flags suspicious devices and, when the device supports it, lets you make it play a sound so you can locate it. ★ LIVE RADAR (EXPERIMENTAL, MAC ONLY) On a Mac, see real-time signal strength and estimated distance with a “warmer / colder” indicator and an optional proximity beep. Chrome keeps live Bluetooth scanning behind an experimental switch, and FindMyGear walks you through turning it on. Chrome on Windows and ChromeOS doesn't support live scanning yet. There, use the live radar in the FindMyGear iPhone app. ★ FINDMYGEAR FOR IPHONE Need to find AirPods or earbuds that won't connect to your computer? The FindMyGear iPhone app has a full live radar with distance to every device, finds AirPods and headphones by signal, detects hidden AirTags and trackers on the go, and adds home screen widgets. Scan the QR code inside the extension to get it. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the FindMyGear icon in the Chrome toolbar. 2. Choose Find a device, Ring a tag, or Check for hidden trackers. 3. Pick a device from Chrome's Bluetooth list. 4. See device details, play a sound, or follow the signal. TIPS • Mac: allow Google Chrome in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth. • Windows: turn on Bluetooth in Settings → Bluetooth & devices. • Earbuds inside a closed case usually don't broadcast. Open the case or take one earbud out. • Unnamed entries (“Unknown or unsupported device”) in Chrome's list are often trackers and beacons. FAQ Can I find my lost AirPods from my computer? You can check whether they are in range: open the case and look for them in the device list. AirPods only connect to their paired phone, so for live distance use the FindMyGear iPhone app. How do I know if a hidden tracker is following me? Use “Check for hidden trackers”, pick unnamed devices from the list and FindMyGear will tell you whether they look like a tracker. If it supports remote sound, press Play sound to find it. Does it work on Windows? Yes. Finding devices, battery and device details, ringing tags and the tracker check work in Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 and 11, macOS and ChromeOS with Bluetooth Low Energy. The experimental live radar is available on Mac only. Is my data sent anywhere? No. FindMyGear has no servers, no analytics and no tracking. It requests no browser permissions.
