FilterX helps you clean up your X (Twitter) feed by hiding posts that contain specific keywords you choose.
X (Twitter) can be overwhelming. You open the app to catch up on some news or see what your friends are up to, and suddenly you're in posts and topics you really don't want to see right now. And yeah, X has a native mute feature buried somewhere in the settings, but honestly? Most people don't even know it exists. And even if you do find it, adding keywords one by one through multiple menus feels like way more work than it should be. I wanted something simpler. Something right there when you need it. Just type in a word, hit enter, and those posts disappear from your feed, instantly. No digging through settings, no complicated setup. Just a cleaner timeline that actually shows you what you want to see. Sometimes you don’t want to mute an account. Sometimes you don’t want to block a topic forever. Sometimes you just want certain words to stop showing up in your feed. That’s exactly why I built this extension. - Easy to find: lives right in your browser - Easy to use - Easy to change whenever needed This lightweight Chrome extension lets you hide posts containing keywords you choose, directly from your browser. How it works: 1. Add the extension to your Chrome 2. Add all the keywords for the topics you want to hide 3. Click on Apply Changes and refresh the page (you only have to refresh the first time) Your privacy is our priority - No tracking - No analytics - No data collection - No external servers Everything runs locally in your browser. Your keywords stay with you. DISCLAIMER: This is an early version, built to solve a very specific problem cleanly and well. We’re actively improving it and would genuinely love honest, even brutal feedback.
