Optional Google sign-in is used only when you choose account-backed features such as your YouTube feed, subscriptions, playlists and history. Notification permission is used only to display active media-player controls. Local media is processed on your device and is never uploaded. ### Profiles and parental controls • Default profile for primary administration • Independent Account profiles with separate rules • Parent-managed Child profiles • Master PIN and profile PIN protection • Protected exports, imports and profile-management actions • Viewing-time limits with a visible lock screen when time expires • Self-Control sessions that temporarily freeze selected rules and settings ### Backup and device synchronisation • Import and export profile-aware JSON backups • Use encrypted backups for protected profiles • Pair your own devices with Nanah • Verify a safety phrase before transferring settings • Select exactly which profiles and settings to send • Save trusted parent-to-child links for future managed updates Nanah uses a small signalling relay to help paired devices meet. Supported transfers are designed to occur directly between the paired devices after verification. ### Dashboard and transparency • Filtering controls and profile management • Accounts & Sync and local-media access • Help, About and built-in release notes • Hidden-item counters and filtering statistics • Optional Google Play support subscriptions for eligible non-Kids profiles FilterTube began after repeated frustration with the limited controls available to parents and viewers who wanted to block content more precisely.
