Overview
Screenshots of what a tab shows, or of the whole page; select a part, save or copy it. No ads, no tracking, no network.
filmil's screenshot takes a screenshot of a tab: of what the tab shows, or of the whole page, top to bottom. The screenshot opens in a new tab. Drag on it to select part of it, then save it as a PNG, copy it to the clipboard, or crop to it. Fixed headers and footers show once, not on every screen. You can also set keyboard shortcuts at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Why another screenshot extension: many ask to "read and change all your data on all websites", all the time. This one sees a tab only when you ask it for a screenshot of that tab: - Two permissions only: "activeTab", which gives it the current tab when you click its icon, and "scripting", which lets it scroll that tab for a whole-page screenshot. Chrome shows no permission warning when you install it. - No ads, no tracking, no analytics. - No network access: it makes no requests of its own. - Screenshots stay in your browser. Closing a screenshot's tab deletes it. It is open source, under the Apache 2.0 license, and every release is built and tested in public: https://github.com/filmil/chrome-screenshot
