Detailed description ▎ What is DRL-FileSync? ▎ DRL-FileSync keeps your photos and files on a Windows PC that you own, instead of in someone else's cloud. Your phone backs up to your PC, and you browse everything from your phone. It is made by The DRL Initiative, and your files are never stored on our website. ▎ ▎ What does this extension do? ▎ It adds one thing to your browser: a way to send things to your phone in two clicks. ▎ • Select text, right-click, "Send selected text to phone" ▎ • Right-click a link, an image or a video: send it to your phone ▎ • Click the toolbar button (or right-click the page) to send the page you are reading ▎ ▎ It shows up on your phone as a normal message or file, ready to open: a link you can tap, a photo already saved, a note you can copy. Perfect for moving a recipe, a map link, a ticket or a photo from your computer to your phone without emailing yourself. ▎ ▎ How it works, and why it is private ▎ The extension does not use an account, a website or a server of its own. It hands what you send to the DRL-FileSync program on your own PC, which delivers it to your own paired phone. It collects no information about you, has no analytics and no ads. Images up to 64 MB are sent as files; larger ones go as a link. ▎ ▎ What you need ▎ • The free DRL-FileSync program for Windows, installed on your PC and running (get it at drl-filesync.com/download.php) ▎ • The DRL-FileSync app on your Android phone, paired with that PC ▎ ▎ If you have one paired phone, the item is sent at once and Windows tells you it arrived.
