Fieldy brings speaker names from Google Meet and Microsoft Teams into your meeting transcripts in the Fieldy desktop app. Follow the conversation with names beside the words, so it is easier to see who proposed an idea or committed to a next step. This preview requires a compatible Fieldy desktop build with speaker identification and a Fieldy account. The extension is free to install; Fieldy account plan limits and paid features still apply. GOOGLE MEET Read participant names and speaking activity from the meeting's People panel. Keep the panel open and the meeting tab visible while Fieldy records. The current Meet integration supports the English meeting interface. MICROSOFT TEAMS Match named live captions to the speech captured by Fieldy. Turn on live captions and keep the meeting tab visible. This works with Teams in Chrome or Edge. Native Teams meetings are not supported by this extension. GET STARTED 1. Install the extension in the browser profile you use for meetings. 2. Open the compatible Fieldy desktop app on Mac or Windows and sign in. 3. Join a Meet or Teams call. In Meet, open the People panel. In Teams, turn on live captions. 4. Start recording in Fieldy. Open the transcript to see names where a clear match is available. Names apply to speech recorded after setup. Some lines will retain generic speaker labels, including short replies, overlapping speech, or speech without a clear match. The extension uses meeting display names; it does not verify a person's identity or distinguish people sharing one meeting device. WHAT THE EXTENSION ACCESSES While Fieldy is recording, the extension reads meeting participant names and speaking activity in Meet, or caption authors and text in Teams. It sends that information to the Fieldy desktop app on the same computer. Speaker names that are matched become part of transcripts saved through Fieldy's services. The extension itself does not record audio or video; recording and transcription are handled by Fieldy desktop.
