Ficmarks — reading tracker for AO3

Track what you have read on AO3: mark works read, reading or skipped, save your chapter, and hide what you have finished.

Ficmarks remembers what you have read on Archive of Our Own, so you stop re-opening the same fic three weeks later to find out you already finished it. ON LISTING PAGES A small mark appears next to every work in search results, tag pages, series and bookmarks. Click it to cycle: reading → read → skip → clear. Works you marked "reading" also get a "resume ch. 7" link straight back to your chapter. WHILE READING A bar above the chapter shows where you are ("ch. 7 of 23"), a "Save my place" button, and five stars for your own private rating. Turn on automatic progress and reaching the bottom of a chapter saves your place by itself — and marks the work read when it was the last chapter. CLEAN UP YOUR SEARCHES Hide the works you have finished, or the ones you marked skip, and a tag page you have already picked over stops showing you the same fifty results. YOUR DATA STAYS IN YOUR BROWSER There is no account, no sign-in, and no server. Ficmarks contains no network code at all — nothing is uploaded, and nothing is tracked. Export writes your marks to a JSON file you keep; Import merges one back in, so you can move to another browser or keep a backup. Ficmarks is an independent extension.
