It explains matching patterns and offers independent-verification steps. HOW TO USE IT • Highlight text on a web page or in webmail, right-click and choose Check selected text for warning signs. • Right-click a link and choose Check this link before opening. • Or open the toolbar checker and paste text or a website address. Review the input, then press Check for warning signs. Checks include common requests for passwords or verification codes, suspicious installer-opening instructions and requests for channel access. Address checks can highlight misleading URL structure and show the actual parsed host. Try the included fictional examples without sharing personal information. LOCAL BASIC CHECKS All checks run locally in your browser. No account or automatic inbox access. No analytics or advertising. The extension does not send checked messages, addresses or results to a scanning service. Selected input is passed to its own checker using temporary browser-session memory, then removed when received. UNDERSTAND THE LIMITS Warnings are not proof of fraud. No matching patterns does not mean a message or website is safe. Some scams will not match; some legitimate requests will. The extension does not visit submitted websites, expand redirects or short links, scan attachments, verify senders, query a live threat database, block clicks or prevent account compromise. Desktop screenshot recognition is not included. Verify requests through a source you already trust. OPTIONAL SUPPORT All basic checks remain free. A voluntary one-time support link opens PayPal externally. Payment does not unlock features or start a subscription. PayPal handles checkout under its own privacy policy. Checked input and results are not appended to the checkout link. This desktop browser companion is separate from the iPhone/iPad app.
