Overview

Your new tab, but make it retro. Split-flap, Nixie, Lego, yellow dots, segments, and origami.

Open a new tab and the day starts with a clock that has a personality. Split-flap cards turn through the hour. Nixie tubes glow in the glass, ghosts of the other digits still faintly there. Or change the face: a red seven-segment display, a field of yellow dots, Lego bricks stacked into numbers, or digits folded from blue paper. Same time. Same date. Click the clock and the digits scramble, then land back where they belong. The clock fills the window. A size slider pulls it back when you want it smaller. Display • Split-flap cards, Nixie tubes, seven-segment, yellow dots, Lego bricks, or origami • White numbers keep each face’s own colour: orange tubes, red segments, yellow dots, mixed bricks, or blue origami • A colour you pick is used as-is. On seven-segment, origami, and Lego, each digit can have its own colour • Clock size, from a smaller board up to one that fills the new tab Time • 12-hour or 24-hour, on the board and in settings • Optional seconds — two more cards and a second colon • Colon blink, or a steady colon • Timezone, or the clock already set on this computer Date • Show or hide the date • Above the cards, or below them • Left, center, or right • Wednesday · 28 October, October 28, a short form, with the year, a numeric date, or ISO Look • Background colour for the new tab • Number colour for the digits. White keeps each face’s own colour • On seven-segment, origami, and Lego, a colour for each digit. White leaves that digit alone • Colon colour Date colour sits with the date layout, and that layout is shown only while the date is on.
