Google search the way it used to be: ten blue links, and nothing else. Plain Results for Google Search strips the clutter out of Google. Search from the address bar or the Google page and you get web results only. No AI Overview rewriting the answer for you, no stack of sponsored results above the real ones, no video carousels, no social media blocks, no "People also ask" accordion. WHAT YOU GET • Plain web results every time. Every Google search, including ones typed straight into the address bar, opens in Google's own "Web" view. That view has no AI Overview and very little clutter. You don't have to click anything. • A cleanup pass for what still slips through. The extension hides leftover sponsored blocks, "People also ask", "What people are saying", forum and discussion blocks, video blocks, social media blocks ("As seen on"), and the "AI Mode" tab. • Your other tabs still work. Searches where you chose Images, Maps or another tab are left alone, so nothing breaks. • A switch for everything. Click the toolbar icon to turn any part on or off. Everything is on by default, so you can install it and forget it. • Settings follow you. Sign into Chrome and your choices sync to your other computers. WHY INSTALL IT Search results should answer your question, not sell you something or summarize the web back at you. If you want to read the sources yourself and see the whole list at a glance, this puts Google back the way you remember it. It's a good one to install on a family member's computer: they get a clean page and never have to touch a setting. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Nothing is collected, tracked or sent anywhere. There are no accounts, no analytics and no remote code. The only data stored is your on/off choices, kept in Chrome's own sync storage. The extension only runs on www.google.com. GOOD TO KNOW • It works on www.google.com only, not country sites such as google.co.uk. • Google changes its pages from time to time. The redirect to plain web results doesn't depend on the page layout, but if Google renames a block, the cleanup pass may stop hiding that one block until the extension is updated. Search still works normally. • Ads depend on the search and the moment, so the cleanup pass won't catch every one. The extension is free and open source.
