)Overview
Select text on any page and search it with your own set of search engines — one click on a sleek floating bar.
Select text on any page and search it in one click. Sunny Side Search shows a small, sleek bar right above your selection with the search engines you choose – any site that has a search page can be added. HOW IT WORKS • Select a word or a phrase – the bar appears next to it. Click an icon and the results open in a background tab, so you can search the same text in several places without leaving your page. • Middle-click or Ctrl+click opens the other way (background ↔ new tab), Shift+click opens a new window. • Folders keep long lists tidy, each with a colorful icon that matches its name: hover to open one, Ctrl+click to search every engine in it at once. • A Copy button, plus an Open link button when the selection is a web address. • Right-click any picture to search for similar images. • Keyboard shortcut Alt+S opens the bar for the selected text; then use the arrows, Enter or digits 1–9. TOOLBAR POPUP Click the toolbar icon and the text you selected is already in the search box. Your engines are shown as a grid of icons or as a list. Click an engine to pick it (your choice is remembered) and press Enter to search. Search suggestions as you type, a switch to turn the bar off on the current site, and one-click "Add this site's search" for sites that publish one. YOUR ENGINES, YOUR WAY • A catalog of 140+ ready-made services, grouped by category – including "this site" engines that search only the site you are on. Add one, or a whole category at once – they are sorted into folders for you. • Add any site in seconds: paste the address of any results page and the query is detected and replaced automatically. • Drag and drop to reorder, folders, separators, custom icons; choose for each engine whether it appears in the bar, the popup or the right-click menu. • Five ways to show the bar: right after selecting, a small button first, a click on the selection, while holding a key, or never (shortcut and menu only). • Dark, light or system theme; icons, icons with names or a list; three sizes – all with a live preview. • Right-click menu, a site list ("everywhere except" or "only on"), backup to a file. • Moving from Selection Search? Paste its exported settings and your engines, folders and options come over in one step. • Settings sync between your computers through your browser's own sync. PRIVACY No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. • The selected text goes only to the search engine you click, and only when you click it. • When you search by image, only the picture's address is sent, and only to the service you pick. • Text you type in the toolbar popup is sent to Google's suggestion service to show suggestions. You can turn this off in the settings. • Icons for your engines are downloaded once from Google's public favicon service (only the engine's site address is sent) or from the site itself, then cached locally. • Your engines and settings stay in your browser profile and sync through your browser account if sync is on. Interface in English and Russian. Works in Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers.
