PurePlay for YouTube

Enforces original audio track (no auto-translation), disables subtitles & autoplay by default. Icon click = speed toggle 1.0x/1.5x.

Tired of YouTube forcing auto-translated/AI-dubbed audio tracks, turning on subtitles automatically, or continuing with unwanted autoplay? PurePlay for YouTube restores clean, distraction-free playback by keeping YouTube in its purest state. ⚡ KEY FEATURES 1. Enforce Original Audio Track • Automatically detects and switches back to the creator's authentic, original audio track. • Prevents unwanted AI-dubbed or multi-language voice-overs from playing over the original video. 2. Disable Subtitles (Off by Default) • Prevents closed captions (CC) from turning on automatically when each video loads. • Fully respects manual controls: if you choose to turn subtitles on during a video, they remain on. 3. Disable Autoplay (Off by Default) • Disables the "Autoplay next" toggle on regular videos so you stay in control of your viewing session. • Also respects manual overrides if you turn autoplay on during playback. 4. 1-Click Speed Toggle (1.0x ↔ 1.5x) • Simply click the PurePlay icon in your browser toolbar to toggle between normal speed (1.0x) and fast listening (1.5x). • Clear, minimalist visual feedback: briefly displays a sleek on-screen "1.5x" / "1x" callout in the player while the toolbar icon shifts color (white "P" for 1.0x, red "P" for 1.5x) without cluttering badges. 5. Full YouTube Shorts Support • Specially tuned for YouTube Shorts feeds: enforces original audio and disables captions without breaking infinite scroll navigation. 6. Customizable via Right-Click Options • Works out of the box with all features enabled by default. • Want to keep Autoplay on while still enforcing original audio and disabling subtitles? Simply right-click the toolbar icon to toggle Enforce Original Audio Track, Disable Subtitles, or Disable Autoplay individually on or off at any time. 🛡️ LIGHTWEIGHT & PRIVACY-FIRST • No tracking, no analytics, no external network requests. • Open, clean Manifest V3 architecture that runs 100% locally inside your browser (including Incognito mode when enabled). --- YouTube™ is a trademark of Google LLC.
