Hacker News Mod
Overview
Enhances Hacker News with new story indicators, rank trends, site icons, story dimming, and an unseen stories panel.
Hacker News Mod enhances your Hacker News browsing experience with several features designed to help you stay on top of new and trending stories. **New story indicators** — A red dot appears next to stories you haven't seen before, fading over 30 minutes so you can easily spot what's new at a glance. **Trend arrows** — Small arrows show how stories have moved in rank since your last visit, so you can see what's trending up or down. **Unseen stories panel** — A collapsible section at the top of the page surfaces new stories from across all pages, not just the one you're viewing. Dismiss stories you're not interested in, or hide them from HN entirely. **Story dimming** — Configure keywords and domains to automatically dim stories you don't care about. You can also manually dim or undim individual stories. **Score and comment colorization** — Points and comment counts are color-coded by intensity, making high-engagement stories stand out. **Favicons** — Site icons appear next to story titles for quick visual scanning of sources. **Pagination** — Numbered page links replace the default "More" link for easier navigation. All data is stored locally using Chrome's built-in sync storage. No data is collected or sent to third-party servers.
