Allows ff264 pip builder to control local vMix with one click
ff264 pip builder — a Chrome extension that connects the ff264 pip builder web application to your local vMix installation. ff264 pip builder (pip.ff264.org) is a web-based tool for designing PIP (Picture-in-Picture) layouts for live video production. This companion extension enables one-click layout apply directly to vMix running on your machine. Why is this extension needed? Modern browsers block web pages from communicating with local services for security reasons. This lightweight extension acts as a secure bridge, forwarding layout commands from the web interface to the vMix HTTP API on localhost. How it works: — Design your PIP layout in the ff264 pip builder web app — Set your vMix MultiView input number — Click "Apply to vMix" — The extension sends PanX, PanY, and Zoom values to your local vMix — Your MultiView input updates instantly Privacy and security: — Communicates only with localhost (127.0.0.1:8088) — No data is collected, stored, or transmitted to external servers — No remote code is loaded or executed — No user tracking or analytics — Minimal permissions — only accesses the vMix API on your machine — Fully open source Requirements: — vMix with Web Controller enabled (default port 8088) — ff264 pip builder web app (pip.ff264.org)
