Read English on the web. Take apart the sentences you can't parse yourself, one step at a time.

This is an early test version and some sentences may not be split well yet. If something goes wrong, please email developer@fullrank.com.cn. Stuck on a long English sentence while reading a web page? Select it, press ⌘C, and take it apart yourself. Feyxo is for people who read English as a second language, mainly Chinese speakers. The interface comes in English and Simplified Chinese; word meanings are given in the interface language. HOW IT WORKS 1. On a site you want to read, click the toolbar icon (two blue pages) and choose "use on this site" (Feyxo is off on every site after installing). Then select a whole sentence you can't read and press the trigger key: by default the copy key, ⌘C (Ctrl+C on Windows); you can change it in settings. Copying still works as usual; your clipboard is not touched. 2. Press once: Feyxo reads first. The main clause of the sentence is darkened and the modifying parts fade. 3. Press a few more times: you take the sentence apart yourself. Mark a phrase, drag parts into slots, click what "which" refers to... one spot at a time; press ⌘C to move to the next. Miss twice and Feyxo marks the answer and tells you why; you can skip a spot you don't want to do. 4. When you are through: the structure of the whole sentence is marked at once, then the sentence goes back to its place and you read it again from the start. Still lost? Press ⌘C to switch back to the structure and compare. 5. Press Esc at any time to put the page back exactly as it was. Select one or two words and press ⌘C to work on a word instead: Feyxo tells you whether the sentence already gives a clue to its meaning, and helps you find it. WHY NOT JUST TRANSLATE Feyxo is not a translation tool and does not translate whole sentences. The idea is that a sentence you took apart yourself sticks better than a translation you just read, and helps you read the next one on your own. For a word you don't know, select it and press ⌘C to see what it means in this sentence. YOU BRING THE MODEL Feyxo is free in this first version. How a sentence is split, which exercises appear and what a word means in context are all decided by the AI model you configure yourself. In the settings page you enter four things: the API format (OpenAI-style or Anthropic-style), the URL, your key and the model name. A fast small model is enough; a model running on your own computer works too. Whatever the model service charges (if anything) goes to that service, not to us. With a weak model Feyxo can split a sentence wrongly, ask odd questions, or skip a sentence. Press Esc and the page is untouched. WHAT YOU PRACTISE Grammar points are grouped by chapters of a grammar book, and each chapter can be switched on or off. You can also apply a ready-made set in one click: junior high, senior high year 1, senior high years 2-3, or IELTS. You can also install packs made by others from a file (packs contain data only, no code). PRIVACY - No analytics, no ads. - The sentence you select (plus up to 3 sentences before and after it in the same paragraph) is sent only to the model URL you configured. It is sent when your selection rests for about a quarter of a second, before you press ⌘C. When the master switch is off, paused, or on a site you have not turned on, nothing is sent. - Feyxo does not read your clipboard and does not block copying. - Settings, practice records and your model key stay in this browser on this computer. Nothing is synced or uploaded. The key is stored as plain text, so do not set it up on a shared computer. See the privacy policy for details. GOOD TO KNOW - Chrome and Microsoft Edge on desktop only for now. - After installing, the master switch is off and no site is enabled: turn it on from the toolbar icon, and enable each site you want to read on (the browser asks for permission for that one site only). You need to configure a model before it works. - Feyxo stays out of input fields, code blocks, text marked as non-English, the browser's built-in PDF viewer, online document editors and chrome:// or edge:// pages. - Feyxo teaches English only; the interface is in English or Simplified Chinese.
