ChatGPT Selection Assistant is a Chrome and Edge extension that allows you to use the OpenAI API directly on selected text on web pages. When you select a text snippet, the extension displays a floating toolbar with quick actions, such as asking ChatGPT, translating to Portuguese, translating to English, and reviewing the text. The result appears in a popup near the selection, without interrupting your browsing. The extension also allows you to create and edit custom prompts, choose the response effort level, maintain a contextual conversation inside the popup, copy responses, and replace the original text when working in editable fields.
