See a chess position anywhere, on lichess, chess.com, a YouTube video, a book PDF, a blog post, and want to analyze it? Click the fenshot icon. The extension screenshots the visible tab, reads the board with a neural network that runs entirely inside your browser, and shows you the position. From there: - Analyze on Lichess, one click to the analysis board - Open in Coachess for coached analysis - Copy the FEN to use anywhere Privacy, for real: - The screenshot is taken only when you click the icon (activeTab permission) - Recognition runs 100% on your device, the image never leaves your browser - No account, no analytics, no tracking, no network requests - Fully open source (MIT): github.com/scoriiu/fenshot Works with lichess and chess.com themes, book diagrams, and most piece sets. When a position is hard to read, fenshot says so instead of pretending, and routes you to an editor to fix the squares. Built from the position-import engine of coachess.app.
