FeedShield is an AI-powered Chrome extension that automatically detects and removes low-quality content from your X/Twitter feed. AI slop, engagement bait, crypto spam, and rage farming posts are identified in real time and blurred, hidden, or badged before you waste another second on them. Why FeedShield? Social media feeds are flooded with junk. Generic AI-generated posts, rage bait designed to hijack your attention, and crypto token promotions pollute every timeline. Muting keywords is not enough. These posts are designed to slip past simple filters by rewording the same patterns over and over. FeedShield uses Gemini Flash, a fast and accurate AI model, to classify posts as you scroll. How It Works Install FeedShield from the Chrome Web Store. Open X/Twitter and browse normally. FeedShield scans posts in real time as they appear in your feed. Posts that match your active filters are blurred, hidden, or labeled with a badge. Click "Show anyway" on any filtered post if you want to see it. It takes about 10 seconds to set up. There is nothing to configure unless you want to fine-tune the filters. Built-in Filters FeedShield ships with three powerful default filters, each tuned for high accuracy: AI Slop: Catches generic AI-generated images, text, and videos flooding your timeline. Engagement Bait: Detects rage bait, like-farming, outrage farming, and manipulative content designed to waste your time. Crypto/NFT Spam: Identifies token promotions, NFT shilling, crypto scams, and blockchain-related spam. Each filter has an adjustable sensitivity slider so you can set it to aggressive (catch more) or lenient (fewer false positives) depending on your preference. Display Modes Choose how filtered content appears: Blur: Posts are blurred with a "Content filtered" overlay. Click to reveal. Hide: Posts are removed from the feed entirely.
