Feedback Smack by URLflows
Overview
Feedback on any web page: say what should change, attach a selected area or a page section, and every browser detail comes with it.
"It looks wrong" is not a bug report. Feedback Smack by URLflows turns feedback on any web page into something a developer can act on: what should change, a picture of exactly where, and every browser, system and page detail they would otherwise have to ask for. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the toolbar icon (or press Ctrl+Shift+Y, ⌘⇧Y on a Mac). The feedback panel opens beside the page. 2. Pick a kind: Bug, Idea, Copy change, Design or Question. 3. Write the direction: what should change, and how. 4. Attach what you mean: drag a box to select an area, pick one part of the page (its picture, text, HTML and a CSS selector come with it), or take the whole visible page. 5. Send it to your team's Google Sheet, copy it, or download it. ATTACH EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN - Select area: drag a box over the page. The picture is cropped at your display's real resolution. - Pick a part: hover to highlight a part of the page, press ↑ and ↓ to widen or narrow it, click or press Enter to attach it. Its picture, text, HTML and a unique selector all come with it. - Visible page: one click for everything on screen. - Right-click anywhere for the same tools. Right-clicked text, links and images join the report as context. EVERY DETAIL A DEVELOPER ASKS FOR Each report carries the details you choose, grouped and switchable in Settings: - Page: address, title, referrer, selected text, viewport, document size, scroll position, language, encoding, frames and load timing. - Browser: browser and full version, the user agent, languages, time zone, page zoom, incognito, cookies, Do Not Track, colour scheme and accessibility preferences. - System: operating system and version, architecture, CPU, memory, GPU and touch points. - Display: every connected display, scaling, colour depth and window size. - Network: connection type, estimated speed and delay, data saver. SHARE IT YOUR WAY - Send to a Google Sheet: connect a spreadsheet your team shares, one tab per product, project or client. Each report becomes a row, with its pictures saved to a folder beside the spreadsheet. Setting it up takes a few minutes: Settings shows a small script to paste into the sheet and the steps to deploy it. - Copy report: rich text with the pictures, ready to paste into an email, a ticket or a doc, with a plain-text version for anywhere else. - Download: one self-contained HTML file with the pictures, each part's HTML and the report as data. THE FEEDBACK BOARD Every connected tab's feedback as cards, with the first picture on each. Status tiles count and filter New, In progress, Done and Won't do; filter by kind, search, and sort. Open a card to see every picture, the parts and all the details. Changing a status writes it back to the sheet. SETTINGS A searchable settings page (press / to search) opens at Getting started on first install: Report contents, Captures (PNG or JPEG), Google Sheets, Saved reports (every report you copy, download or send is kept on this device), Shortcuts, Appearance (Dark or Light), Backup & restore, and Resets. PRIVACY There is no account and no server of ours. Nothing leaves your computer until you choose to copy, download or send a report. When you send one, it goes straight to the Google Sheet you connected, through the script you deployed in your own Google account, and nowhere else. No analytics and no tracking. Saved reports and settings stay in Chrome's storage on your device. Part of the URLflows family: https://urlflows.app/
