FECA는 페미니즘 용어와 관련된 지식을 쉽게 접할 수 있도록 만들어진 플러그인입니다. FECA is a plugin that helps you look up feminist terminologies.
FECA는 ‘페미니즘(Feminism)’과 ‘어휘(Vocabulary)’를 합성한 이름으로, 뉴스기사 등의 텍스트 컨텐츠속에서 만나게 되는 페미니즘 개념에 대한 이해를 돕는 사전식 크롬 확장 플러그인입니다. FECA는 더 많은 사람들이 정확한 이름으로, 입체적인 사고로, 페미니즘의 관점으로 웹 컨텐츠들을 읽어내는 일을 돕기 위해 만들어졌습니다. 자극적이기만 하고 부정확한 표현, 차별적인 동시에 편향적인 관점의 뉴스 기사부터 한정된 인명 정보가 불편한 적이 있었나요? 지금 FECA와 함께 하시면 보다 지적이고 균형있는 방식으로 웹서핑을 할 수 있습니다. *활용 방법* 📘 읽기 사용자는 FECA를 설치후 {읽기 시작} 버튼을 실행하면 자신이 웹서핑하며 읽고 있던 글에 포함된 페미니즘 관련 용어와 사건들의 단어들을 하이라이팅해서 볼 수 있습니다. 이후 태그아이콘 처리된 각 단어를 클릭하면, 페미니즘의 시선으로 작성된 위키인 페미위키(https://femiwiki.com)로 페이지가 이동해 자세한 설명을 접할 수 있어요. 👩🏻💻 추가 요청하기 자신이 의미를 알고 싶은 단어가 하이라이팅되지 않았다면 {추가 요청하러가기} 버튼을 실행시켜 구글 폼 페이지를 열고, 추가 단어를 제보할 수 있습니다. 해당 제보에 대한 추가 및 관련 수정 작업이 끝나면 이메일로 알림을 받으실 수 있습니다. *현재 버전* 현재 FECA의 1차 버전이 출시되었고, 이 버전에서는 [젠더폭력]과 관련된 용어들만 제한적으로 하이라이팅되고 있습니다. 페미위키는 전체 문서가 약 2만개정도 되는데 전체 단어의 API를 통으로 불러오고 있지는 않아요. 향후 더 풍부한 연동을 위해 기존 젠더폭력 틀(테마)을 다듬고, 추가적인 틀을 2개이상 연동할 계획도 가지고 있습니다. With FECA, you can navigate the web and interact with content through a lens that is more balanced and critical. FECA is a dictionary-style plugin that helps users understand feminist terminologies (and terminologies 'through' a feminist lens) when browsing the web. It was created to assist and encourage more people in reading web content from a feminist perspective. In this version of the plugin, you can highlight and search for terms related to gender-based violence. When activated, our plugin conveniently highlights keywords on your active tab based on a 'themed list' from Femiwiki.com. This list can be modified and added to by any contributing members of the Wiki. If you find any words that are missing you can help improve the wiki and the plugin by sending us your suggestions.
