OpenFGA Explorer
Overview
A Chrome extension for exploring OpenFGA authorization models
OpenFGA Explorer helps developers design, validate, and debug authorization models. Connect to a local or remote OpenFGA server, explore your model visually, manage tuples, and run queries from a friendly UI. Features - Connect to OpenFGA (endpoint URL, Store ID) with no-auth, pre-shared key, or OIDC token - Visualize an authorization model as an interactive graph or an expandable tree - View any model version as JSON or DSL, side by side with the visualizer - Create models from pasted DSL or JSON; copy either back out - Run Check, List Objects, and List Users queries, with contextual tuples and a consistency preference - Ask "Why?" on an allowed Check to trace which relation granted access - Manage tuples (add, remove, inspect, filter) - API Console: call any OpenFGA REST endpoint with your own method, path, headers, and body - Five themes, including two dark palettes - Save endpoints, stores, and drafts to chrome.storage Permissions - storage: saves endpoints, settings, and drafts locally - host_permissions (http/https): calls the OpenFGA endpoints you configure Privacy No data is collected for analytics. The extension injects no code into the pages you visit. Data stays on your device unless you connect to your own OpenFGA endpoint. Tokens are stored in chrome.storage and are only sent to the endpoint you configured never to a third party, and never to an origin different from that endpoint.
