Messaging people across time zones? Local Time shows the other person's local time right next to their name in LinkedIn messages, like Microsoft Teams does. What you get • Their current local time beside their name in the conversation header • A colored dot: green for working hours, amber for early morning, evening or weekends, purple for late night • Hover for their location, time zone and how far ahead of or behind you they are • Click to set or correct someone's city, remembered for that person • Handles daylight saving time and half-hour time zones automatically How it works When you click the time pill, the extension reads the location shown on that person's LinkedIn profile and works out their time zone. The result is saved in your browser, so each person is only looked up once. You can also type a city yourself. Privacy • Everything stays in your browser. No servers, no analytics, no tracking. • The extension doesn't read your messages. • Its only permission is storage, for remembering locations.
