Overview

Rate posts on X by smashing them. See what everyone thought, and filter out the slop.

Slop Smash turns rating posts into a toy. Hit a post on your timeline and it splats, slices, bonks, shatters or turns gold. Every rating adds to a shared score that everyone with Slop Smash sees on the post. Five moves, one for each kind of post 🤖 Splat: AI slop, goo everywhere 🎣 Slice: engagement bait, swipe through it like a fruit 🥱 Bonk: low effort, a cartoon squash 😡 Shatter: rage bait, cracks spread while you hold, then glass ✨ Gild: actually good, a gold shine and nothing breaks Pick a move, then perform it on the post: press where to hit, and hold to charge a bigger hit. Or use the keyboard: focus a post with j/k, then press 1–5. Calm mode replaces every animation with a still stamp. See what everyone thought Every post gets a small badge next to the share button. Once three people rate a post, the badge shows their combined score, and opening it shows the mix ("41 people rated this · mostly AI slop"). Before that, a rough on-device check may show a hint marked "~". Hints don’t hide anything (unless you opt in to on-device AI folding). Fold away the slop Posts you smash fold into a stub with Undo and Show. Turn on the filter, and posts that many different people rated as slop fold into one line with a Show button. That takes 10+ established raters (installs at least a week old with 10+ ratings on 3+ days) on 6+ networks agreeing on the category. Pile-ons by new installs don't count. A determined group of about 10 established installs can still fold, or mark as Actually good, posts it picks, so every fold keeps a Show button. The filter never hides ads, your own posts, posts you open, or anything on profile pages. Your week, in one share Get a weekly emoji grid of what you smashed, your rank (Fresh Recruit → Slopocalypse Survivor) and how much of your timeline was slop. Copy it or save it as an image. Privacy by design Post text, images and authors never leave your browser. Hints run on your device, using Chrome's built-in AI when your device supports it. Nothing is sent until you agree on the setup page. After that: the IDs of posts near your screen (to look up scores) and your ratings, signed by a pseudonymous key made on your device. Each rating also carries a per-post code from your network block (to stop brigades), deleted within 7 days; your IP address is never stored. There are no accounts and no ad or analytics trackers, and we never see your X handle. Turn sharing off or delete your data from the popup at any time. Ratings are opinions about posts, never about people. Slop Smash has no comments, no author pages and no leaderboards.
