Overview
Companion for the Outbox app: post to LinkedIn, X, Reddit & Hacker News from your Chrome session.
Outbox is the Chrome companion for the Outbox macOS app and CLI. Its job is simple: when you publish from Outbox, actions on LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and Hacker News run in the Chrome profile you already use—not in a separate automated browser. You’ll love it if you: • Already use Outbox to schedule and post, and want those browser sites to stay in your real session • Prefer local control (the extension talks to Outbox on your machine via native messaging) • Need one install that works with the menu-bar app, CLI, or scheduled runs How it works with Outbox: • LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Hacker News — browser actions go through this extension by default • GitHub & Bluesky — Outbox uses their APIs (not this extension) • Slack — API for messaging where configured; Chrome may help with workspace sign-in / session capture This extension is not a standalone social client and not a general web scraper. Install Outbox, map a Chrome profile, then use Outbox as usual.
