Page Link Status - Broken Link Checker

)Overview
Broken link checker for the page you are on: find 404s, dead links and redirects. Honest statuses, highlights, CSV/JSON export.
Honest broken link checker: no false "Broken" for links behind a login or a bot wall. Private, free, no account. Page Link Status checks the page you have open. Click Scan Page to find broken links, 404 errors, dead links and redirects, see each one highlighted on the page, and read why it failed. A link that asks for a login is marked Needs login, and a link the check could not confirm is marked Unverified, not Broken. Checks run in your browser; nothing is sent to the developer. What you get - Honest statuses: OK, Redirect, Broken, Needs login, Unverified, Anchor warning and Skip. Every problem row says why. - Broken means a real problem: 404, 410, other 4xx, 5xx, a host that does not exist (DNS), a bad TLS certificate, a redirect loop, or a page that says "not found" while returning 200 (soft 404). - Needs login: 401, 407, a 403 that asks to sign in, or a redirect to a sign-in page. - Unverified: the check could not confirm the link (400, 403, 429, 999, a bot wall, a timeout, a CORS or network error). It is not counted as broken. - Redirects: 301/302 chains are followed to the end. A redirect that lands on a 404 is Broken and shows the final URL. An https link that ends on http gets a note. - Anchor warnings: an in-page # link whose target is missing is a warning, not a broken link. - Highlights on the page. The summary tiles work as a filter for both the list and the highlights. "Show on page" scrolls to a link. - Report tab: a sortable table with link text, URL, HTTP status code, reason, internal/external, rel (nofollow, sponsored, ugc), redirect chain and response time. - Export to CSV or JSON, with every row. - Options: timeout, parallel requests, skip rel=nofollow links, internal-only or external-only, highlights on/off, System/Light/Dark theme. Who it is for Content editors, SEO specialists, QA engineers and developers who want to find broken links on a page before or after publishing: a blog post, a docs page, a landing page after a site migration. Limits - One page at a time. It is a page link validator, not a site crawler: it does not follow links to other pages, run in the background or on a schedule. - Chrome does not let extensions scan its own pages, such as chrome:// pages or the Chrome Web Store. - Links inside closed shadow roots are not seen. A frame from another site is included only when Chrome lets the extension reach it. - mailto, tel, javascript and other non-http links are listed as Skip. Action links (logout, delete, unsubscribe, vote, add to cart and similar) are never requested. How it checks Each http(s) link is requested from your browser, HEAD first and GET when needed, with at most two requests to one host at a time. Requests go without cookies. One exception: a link on the same site as the page that answers 401, 403 or 404 is retried once with your session, so pages you can open are not reported as broken. You can turn this off in Options. Cookies are never sent to other sites. Cloud metadata addresses are skipped. Privacy - The sites you check see a normal request, including your IP address and browser user agent. - To spot soft 404s, up to 64 KB of a small text response may be read on your device and then discarded. - The developer receives nothing: not the page, not the links, not the results. No account, no analytics, no ads, no remote code. - Results stay in this browser session. Options and theme are kept in local extension storage. - Chrome warns that the extension can read and change data on all sites. That access is needed to request links that point to other sites and to add highlights to the tab you scan. Nothing runs on a page until you click Scan Page.
