It replaces your default new tab page with an Animal Island-inspired personal start page, so every time you open a new tab, you can see the time, date, weather, search bar, and shortcuts to your favorite websites. Location information is used only to fetch local weather data. It is not used for advertising, tracking, or sale. - Animal Island New Tab uses the Chrome Search API by default to provide search functionality. - Extension settings are stored locally in your browser’s localStorage, including background color, search engine, shortcut list, weather settings, and more. Animal Island New Tab does not collect your browsing history or upload your personal configuration. - Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo. Permission details: Geolocation permission: used to get current-location weather in automatic location mode. Open-Meteo network access permission: used to request weather and geocoding data.
