Overview

Turn your browser history into a favicon collage. Everything stays on your machine and nothing is uploaded.

Turn your browser history into a collage made from the favicons of every site you have visited. Runs locally in your browser. Open the studio from the toolbar, choose how far back to look, and the extension gathers the favicons of the sites you have visited and arranges them into a single image. WHAT YOU CAN DO Pick a period. The last week, month, ninety days, six months, a year, or your whole history. Choose a layout. Fourteen of them, including a chronological grid that reads like a timeline, a sunflower spiral, a treemap sized by how often you visit each site, a colour spectrum, a year calendar, a Hilbert curve, and more. Switch between favicons and colour. See the real icons, or flatten each one to its dominant colour for an abstract field. Curate it. A panel lists every site in your history with its icon and visit count. Uncheck anything you would rather not include and the collage updates instantly. There is no blocklist. You decide what belongs. Zoom, pan, and save. The artwork fits the frame on its own. Scroll to zoom, drag to move around, and export the result as a full resolution PNG, far larger than the screen. HOW IT WORKS Your browser already keeps two things on your device: your history, and a cached icon for each site you visit. Favicon Collage reads both, locally, and draws them onto a canvas inside its own page. That is the whole trick. PRIVACY Everything happens on your machine. Your history and favicons never leave the page. There is no server, no analytics, and no third party code. The extension is open source, so you can read every line. GETTING STARTED 1. Click the toolbar icon to open the studio. 2. Press Generate. The first time, your browser asks to read your history. Allow it. 3. Pick a layout, prune any sites you do not want, and save the PNG.
