Fathom Auto-Admit for Google Meet

Automatically admits your own Fathom notetaker into Google Meet calls — and nobody else.

Never forget to let your Fathom notetaker into a Google Meet call again. When your Fathom bot asks to join, Google Meet makes you admit it by hand. If you're busy talking, sharing your screen or simply forget, the recording never starts. This extension admits it for you the moment it asks to join. Only your bot gets in; nobody else is admitted automatically. HOW IT WORKS • Tell the extension your Fathom bot's exact name once. The easiest way is to click "Trust" next to it in the popup's "Recent join requests" list. • When a guest is waiting, the extension checks the name of every join request. • If the name matches your bot, it admits it right away. This works with the "wants to join" pop-up, the People panel's waiting list, and the "Admit entry" option in the ⋮ menu that Meet uses for guests "with potential risks". • If it had to open the People panel to do that, it closes it again afterwards. ONLY YOUR BOT, NOBODY ELSE • Names must match exactly (capital letters, accents and extra spaces are ignored). "Jane's Fathom Notetaker" or a generic "Fathom Notetaker" will not match yours. • It never clicks "Admit all" and never touches anyone else's request. Colleagues, clients and other people's notetakers still wait for you as usual. PRIVACY • No account, no sign-up, no tracking, no analytics. • The extension makes no network requests. Your settings are saved in your Chrome profile, and the short list of recent join requests stays on your computer. • It runs only on meet.google.com. TIP: Give your bot a distinctive name in Fathom's settings. Google Meet only shows display names, so anyone who joins under exactly the same name would also be admitted.
