Fast Read: Hide Images is a lightweight Chrome extension designed to help users focus on text content by temporarily hiding images on websites. When enabled, the extension removes visible images from the current webpage, allowing text to load and display with fewer visual distractions. This can make reading articles, documentation, and long pages faster and more comfortable, especially on content-heavy websites. The extension is simple and intentionally minimal. It works only on the active tab and activates only when the user clicks the extension button. Fast Read: Hide Images does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, does not monitor browsing activity, and does not require access to sensitive permissions. All functionality runs locally in the browser, and the effect can be turned on or off at any time with a single click, without permanently changing the website.
