Fast Adjacent Tab

Open a new tab immediately to the right of the current tab.

Fast Adjacent Tab opens a new tab next to your current tab, immediately to the right. Keep your next search beside the page you're working on, even when your tab bar is crowded. Use Cmd+T on Mac or Ctrl+T on Windows/Linux or any other shortcut after assigning it once in Chrome's extension settings. KEEP YOUR PLACE • Open beside the active tab, in the same window. • Keep new tabs in the current tab group. • Keep your existing New Tab page. • No requested permissions, data collection, or ads. No account required. SET UP CTRL+T OR CMD+T 1. Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts. 2. Find Fast Adjacent Tab. 3. Set "New tab to the right, fast" to Ctrl+T on Windows/Linux or Command+T (⌘T) on Mac. 4. Choose "In Chrome". Clear any conflicting shortcut assigned to another extension. The toolbar button also works. Default shortcut: Alt+T (Option+T on Mac). SMALL BY DESIGN Creates the tab directly at its destination. No scripts injected into websites, background polling, or network requests from the extension. WHAT DOES IT CHANGE? Tab placement is controlled by the extension's shortcut and toolbar button. Chrome's + button, links, and reopened tabs keep their normal behavior. From a pinned tab, the new unpinned tab opens after the pinned tabs.
