Overview

For Dhivehi users: shows Thaana text in Google Docs in the Faruma font installed on your computer, not MV Boli. Display only.

For Dhivehi users who see Thaana text in Google Docs in the wrong font. Google Docs cannot use the Faruma font. On Windows, Dhivehi text in Google Docs often shows in MV Boli, a handwriting-style font, even when the text is set to Faruma or Noto Sans Thaana. This extension fixes what you see. If Faruma is installed on your computer, Google Docs draws Dhivehi letters in Faruma. English letters and numbers keep their normal fonts. What it does - Shows Dhivehi (Thaana) letters in Google Docs in your installed Faruma font. - Works whatever font the text is set to in Docs. What it does not do - It does not change your documents or their font settings. - It does not change what other people see. Each person needs this extension and Faruma installed. - It does not change downloads, PDFs or printing. - It does not include the Faruma font. Requirements - Faruma installed on your computer. - Google Chrome 111 or newer. Privacy - Collects no data and sends nothing anywhere. Makes no network requests. - Asks for no permissions. Runs only on Google Docs document pages. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Google Docs is a trademark of Google LLC.
