Overview
Save a whole web page as one searchable PDF. Even live tables, panels, endless scrolls. Pause and resume. Capture history.
Save the whole page. Keep the text. Complete, visually accurate, searchable PDFs. Awkward pages — live tables, panels, frames, pages that load as you scroll — painstakingly walked and reassembled. Pause and resume. A history of every capture. Nothing ever leaves your computer. Print a long page yourself and the browser drops the pictures, the colors and one of the two columns — then stops partway down. Our own test page, printed the ordinary way, came out as just one sheet, 263 words. The same page through Fanfold: seven pages, 1,759 words — everything that was on the screen, top to bottom, still selectable. BETTER THAN THE BROWSER'S OWN • The whole page, not one screenful • Looks like your screen, not a squashed paper version • Text stays searchable and selectable • Tells you when something is missing • A history of everything you have captured • Nothing ever leaves your computer WORKS WHERE OTHER TOOLS STUMBLE • Tables that drop rows as you scroll — all 1,000 rows, not 21 • Content inside another site's frame — all 300 paragraphs, not 23 • Content in a box that scrolls on its own • Asks whether you want the page, the panel inside it, or both • Pages that grow while you capture them • Switch tabs and it pauses, then resumes • Searchable in any script — Cyrillic, Greek, Japanese, accents IT TELLS YOU WHEN IT MISSED SOMETHING A capture that quietly drops half a page looks exactly like one that worked, and you find out on the day you need it. Fanfold says so instead — in plain language, the moment it finishes, judged by what actually reached the PDF. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR COMPUTER No accounts, no sign-in, no telemetry. No network requests at all, not on install, not on capture. If any code that could reach the network appeared, the build would fail. SEARCHABLE MEANS SEARCHABLE A real text layer taken from the page itself, not image recognition — checked with poppler and with the PDF reader built into macOS. LIMITS, SAID UP FRONT • A long page takes a while. Fanfold walks it rather than printing it. • Chrome only. • Words painted onto a chart or a canvas are pictures, not text. They are captured, they are not searchable, and Fanfold tells you when a page is like that. Free. No trial, no tier, nothing to buy. Ten seconds to install.
