FakeCatch puts a trust score on every review while you shop, so you can see which ones to believe before you buy. HOW IT WORKS • Open a product page. On Amazon, Flipkart and Trustpilot, FakeCatch starts by itself. On any other store, click its icon and press "Scan this page". • Each review gets a small badge within about a second: a trust percentage and, when there is one, the main reason for doubt (ad-like wording, generic praise, off-topic, mentions an incentive, templated wording). • Click the icon for a verdict on the whole page: how many reviews look suspicious, and the star average from only the ones that read as genuine. WORKS BEYOND AMAZON • Amazon: 22 country sites, including .com, .co.uk, .de, .in, .com.au and .ca • Flipkart and Trustpilot • Independent stores: press "Scan this page". It reads stores that use the Judge.me review widget, sites that publish reviews in the standard schema.org format, and reviews labelled Verified Purchase. • Tick "Always scan this site" for a store you trust. Chrome asks your permission for that one site only. FOUR HONEST ANSWERS • Green: specific details of real use, in natural wording. • Amber: too generic to tell either way. Plenty of honest buyers write like this. • Red: strong signs of something other than an ordinary buyer, such as marketing copy, a template, or a review of a different product. • Grey, "Too short to judge": a few words say nothing either way, so very short reviews are left unscored and are never sent anywhere. Imperfect or non-native English is never treated as a sign of a fake. A score is an automated opinion about how a review reads, not a statement of fact about any reviewer, seller or product. PRIVACY, PLAINLY • It reads only the reviews on the page: title, text, star rating, date and the verified-purchase mark. • It never reads your account, orders, basket, payment details, anything you type, or your browsing history. • It runs by itself only on the sites listed above. Anywhere else it does nothing until you press Scan. • Review text is sent to our server to be scored by an AI model. Our server keeps the score, not the text. • No ads, no trackers, no analytics in the extension.
