Tired of fake "Your computer is infected" pages that freeze your browser and blast fake alerts? FakeAlertBlocker detects and neutralizes tech support scam pages before they can lock you in — no panic, no phone call, no money lost. What it does 🛡️ Scam Page Detection Analyzes pages in real time for known scam signals: keyboard/mouse lockouts, forced fullscreen, repeated alert dialogs, suspicious page titles, and scam phrases. When a threat is detected, it's killed instantly and you're shown a safe unlock screen. 🚪 Auto-Leave Optionally auto-navigates away from confirmed scam pages after a configurable delay (default: 15 seconds), so even the least tech-savvy users stay protected. 🪟 Popup & Overlay Blocker Catches and removes ad-walls, newsletter nags, and paywalls injected as overlays. Each type can be toggled independently. You can also disable popup blocking per-site directly from the extension popup. 📋 Detailed History Every detection is logged with the domain, type (Scam / Ad-wall / Paywall / Newsletter), and the exact signals that triggered the block — in plain English. 🗂️ Whitelist Permanently trust a site with one click from the popup or by typing a domain manually. Whitelisted sites are never inspected. 📊 Your Stats Track how many scam pages and overlays have been blocked across your lifetime of browsing — right in the popup. 🏆 Milestones Hit a blocking milestone (10, 25, 50… popup blocks or 1, 5, 10… scams)? A small toast will celebrate with you. 🖱️ Right-Click Reporting Right-click any page to report it as a scam or flag a false positive. Reports are submitted anonymously to help improve the blocklist. ⚙️ Granular Settings Control detection sensitivity (Standard / High), auto-leave timing, which overlay types to block, and whether to contribute anonymous reports. Privacy No accounts. No tracking. No browsing history collected. Detection runs entirely in your browser. Anonymous scam reports are submitted only if you choose to enable them.
