What it does: FactForge AI helps you evaluate claims quickly and transparently. It researches the web (DuckDuckGo), synthesizes evidence, and assigns a calibrated Truth Score with annotated citations and credibility signals, including MBFC bias/factual ratings. Why install: • Works where you read: select text → right-click “FactForge AI: Fact-Check This,” or use the popup. Overlay + Side Panel UI. • Make faster, clearer decisions: summary plus supporting vs. contradicting evidence you can inspect. • Trust-but-verify rationale: transparent sources with recency, fact-check, and relevance badges. • Use your own AI service provider and model (API Key required) How it works: Generates compact queries, searches DuckDuckGo, ranks sources, runs multi-provider analysis, and compiles a structured report with a Truth Score. Privacy API keys stored in Chrome sync only. No telemetry. Queries go only to your chosen provider and DuckDuckGo. Note: This is an informational experimental tool.
