EZScite — save references
Overview
Save the article you're reading to your EZScite library, with authors, journal, year and DOI already filled in.
Save any paper you are reading, without copying anything by hand. Open the article the way you always do — on the journal site, PubMed, arXiv or your university repository — and click the EZScite icon. The extension reads the page you already have open and fills in the title, authors, journal, year, volume, pages and DOI for you. Check it, fix anything you want, and save. Later, in the EZScite add-in for Word, that reference is already waiting, ready to cite in ABNT, APA 7, Vancouver, NP 405 and more than ten other styles. WHAT IT DOES - Reads metadata from the page you already have open — including papers you can only see because you are signed in through your institution. - Warns you if the reference is already in your library, and shows you which one. It never blocks you: if you want to save it anyway, you can. - Lets you pick the destination project, or create one on the spot. - Stores PMID and arXiv in their own fields, not buried in the notes. - Works in 9 languages. PRIVACY The extension only reads a page when you click the icon — never in the background, never without your click. It does not collect browsing history, does not track where you go, and shows no ads. The only data it sends is the reference you asked it to save, to your own library. A free EZScite account is required to save.
