eZacto in your toolbar. (ezacto.com/ezacto.io) Start a timer, stop it, log time you forgot to track, and see your week, without leaving the tab you are working in. WORKS AGAINST YOUR INSTANCE (Self hosted or Managed) eZacto is not one hosted service. Sign in to whichever instance is yours, including one you host yourself, by pasting an API token you issued and can revoke at any time. No password ever enters this extension, and nothing is stored anywhere but your own browser profile. THE TIMER - The running timer on the toolbar badge, counting up. - Start and stop without opening the app. - Pick up recent work in one click, with its project, task and notes intact. - Log a duration against any date, typed the way you think: 1:30, 1.5, 90m. - Your week at a glance, in your instance's own format and week start. TRACK WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT One click files time against the page in front of you. It reads the issue, ticket or card and names the entry after it, then tells you how much time is already on that item before you start another timer. On anything else it tracks the page. It does this without asking for access to any of those sites. The extension declares no permission for other apps or anywhere else. It reads the address of the tab you are on only at the moment you click the eZacto button, and only that tab. WHAT IT COLLECTS Nothing. There is no global eZacto account behind this extension and no server of Alt+Shift+E opens it. Rebind it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Single purpose Track time to an eZacto instance: start and stop the timer, log durations, and see the week's totals. Permission justifications — one per field: - storage — Stores the instance URL and the user's API token in the browser profile. Nothing is synced and nothing leaves the device except to the instance the user named. - alarms — Repaints the toolbar badge once a minute so the running timer stays current. An MV3 service worker sleeps, so an alarm is the only reliable way to do this. - activeTab — Reads the title and address of the current tab, only when the user clicks the eZacto toolbar button, to name a time entry after the page or issue they are working on. - idle — Detects that the computer has been idle while a timer runs, so the extension can offer to discard time the user did not work. It reads only idle or active, never what the user is doing. - Host permission — One origin per eZacto instance the user signs in to. Requested at sign-in, never at install, so the user and the reviewer both see exactly which site the extension talks to. Distribution: Free · all regions
